All throughout February, we will be honoring and acknowledging African American History with various creative elements in our services.

We proudly present to you guest vocalist Eric Greene. This gifted baritone has performed on stages all around the world and now he has blessed the Bridgeway stage. Eric is performing an old spiritual. Spirituals are historical songs which speak about the rupture of black lives; they tell us about a people in the land of bondage, and what they did to hold themselves together and to fight back. The spiritual, then, is the spirit of the people struggling to be free; it is their religion, their source of strength in a time of trouble.
